Whitely), which was dictated in onto STRICTLY STRAIGHT (App. L. Buckingham), which in turn was forced onto the heels of BERNYARD (M. Elliott), clipped heels and knuckled. S. Campton was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on 26th July 2003, up to and including 7th August 2003 (4 Capricornia and North Queensland meetings).
Rounding the home turn NEAT CURLS (S. Campton) was inconvenienced by DANCE ON CLOUDS (App. P. Hammersley), which was racing to its outside, and FULMINEO (S. Thurlow), which was on its inside. All riders were advised that in future they must show more care.
Near the 200 metres MY ALCHERINA (D. Andrews) hung out and had to be restrained away from the heels of BALLROOM JACK (C. Whitely),

RACE 2: CLASS 5 HANDICAP - 1200 METRES - 8 STARTERS
DEPATRO (D. J. Simmons) bled from both nostrils during the event. As this was the second occasion on which the gelding had bled, trainer M. Attard was advised that DEPATRO would now be barred from racing for life. This was endorsed on the horse's Document of Description.
