RACE 1: ALQUIP MAIDEN H'CAP – 1116m
Both RAVER and EVERY WHICH WAY were slow to begin.
SAVAT jumped out at the start making heavy contact with GINA FLASH.
Approaching the 800m HOOHAA HOOHEY shifted in making contact with EVERY WHICH WAY, which became unbalanced.

RACE 2: LEN PATTI MOTORS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1116m
PATHFINDER knuckled at the start.
FLYING FORTUNE shifted in at the start making heavy contact with BANDIT ROCKS. FLYING FORTUNE then shifted out making heavy contact with EMMA JILL.
CLASSY PRINCE shifted out under pressure in the straight.

RACE 3: ALQUIP 2YO MAIDEN H'CAP – 1116m
K. Banks the rider of CAPTAIN’S CHOICE was dislodged prior to the start. After being recaptured CAPTAIN’S CHOICE was inspected by the clubs vet and past fit to take its’ place in the field.
CAPTAIN’S CHOICE dipped on jumping.
NOOLINGA SERENADE was slow to begin.
Approaching the 800m, CAPTAIN’S CHOICE which was racing greenly shifting in and away from MISTER AJAX, which had shifted in, forcing NOOLINGA SERENADE to shift in causing NICKELBACK to be checked and lose ground.

RACE 4: CADBURY SCHWEPPES CLASS 5 H'CAP – 1316m
THE APACHE KID was slowly into stride.
RANCHO RHYTHM raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
Approaching the 700m RANCHO RHYTHM shifted in forcing BLACK ANTHEM in onto BRAVE TATTLER, which was forced to relinquish its position. As a result App E. Simmons the rider of RANCHO RHYTHM was reminded of her obligations.
Approaching the 100m, SIR WINTERWOOD shifted out hampering THE APACHE KID.

RACE 5: FRESENIUS MEDICAL CARE CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1625m
TRINEWAL was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start MR INSURANCE shifted in hampering both NEDESTO and DIPPERMOUTH.
Approaching the 1400m MAKING EXCUSES shifted in hampering LORD KWILA.
Approaching the 300m, HEY BANJO shifted out abruptly forcing BALLY BUCKSHOT to be eased and shift out making contact with IN CONTROL. Jockey G. Lynch the rider of HEY BANJO was reprimanded.
MAKING EXCUSES shifted out approaching the 100m hampering EYES FOREVER.
KENMONT shifted in over the concluding stages.

RACE 6: MYER TOOWOOMBA CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1216m
The start was delayed due to POWER HUNT having to be resaddled when it was discovered that the trainer had neglected to saddle the horse with the lead bag. Trainer G Taylor pled guilty to a charge of negligence under AR140A and was fined to sum of $300.
MISS CANTRILL jumped in the air as the start was affected.
POKER PLAYER shifted out on jumping hampering POSH TOUCH.
POWER HUNT shifted out on jumping severely hampering INTERLINGO, which was forced onto the heels of MISS CANTRILL.

RACE 7: ST THOMAS MORE’S SCHOOL MAIDEN H'CAP – 1316m
STORM SUVIVOR withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 6.25 p.m. acting on Veterinary advice. Trainer Mick Nolan was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness is required prior to the geldings’ next start.
CANDY’S REPORT jumped out hampering RENDERED which dipped on jumping.
Approaching the 1200m DARBY ROSER shifted out hampering BARZINI.
Approaching the 800m BARZINI, which was inclined to over-race, was placed in restricted room on the inside of PRINCE LONSDALE, PHAROAH’S DANCER and GAELIC PRINCE, which were racing to the inside of BARZINI were also placed in restricted room.

MR. BOYD jumped awkwardly.

Shortly after the start SELF TITLED was inclined to hang in placing LUILATUI in restricted room.
