SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Jockey P Moodie who was indisposed was replaced by: P Spry (GREAT MARC), C Maund (CAPILLARY), N Tomizawa (OBSTINATE), E Dredge (AFTER GRAHAM), R Goltz (DANGEROUS SCENT).

Apprentice M Sano who was indisposed was replaced by: C Bumstead (LORD BRUISER), G Jones (GUN YAH GOLD), S Galvin (ADVANTAGE PLUS).

When questioned why he weighed in overweight on ESCUTCHEONS in race 3. B Appo admitted he changed his boots and added gear after he weighed out. B Appo further stated he also changed his boots and added gear after weighing out for MIGHTY BLAZE in race 4. B Appo was subsequently replaced on MIGHTY BLAZE. B Appo subsequently pleaded guilty to two charges under AR118A in that after weighing out for ESCUTCHEONS and MIGHTY BLAZE he changed his boots and added a girth cover. B Appo was suspended from riding in races for a period of two weeks on each charge, to commence at mid-night 21-08-05 and to expire at mid-night 4-09-05. Both suspensions are to be served concurrently.

RACE 1: LEN PATTI MOTORS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1100M.

Stewards accepted the explanation of jockey C Kearney why he was declared on both SEEING DOUBLE and CLASSY SYL. S Richardson was the replacement rider for SEEING DOUBLE.

At the start GOTHIC MAN jumped out taking LORD BRUISER onto PRISMISSTIC.

CLASSY SYL was slowly away.

At the start MARCOLA was tightened for room between SEEING DOUBLE, which jumped out and ALL OUR CHIPS, which jumped in.

Shortly after the start GREAT MARC was taken out by FOUR KINGS, which shifted out and away from TOBECANNY.

Near the 550m GOTHIC MAN shifted in and brushed the running rail.

Leaving the 500m GOTHIC MAN lost ground when tightened onto the running rail by LORD BRUISER, which shifted in and away from REGAL CHARMER, which shifted in momentarily.

FOUR KINGS was forced to race wide in the early and middle stages.

Leaving the 200m FOUR KINGS, which shifted in under pressure, and then shifted out leaving the 100m.

Approaching the finish TOBECANNY was eased from the heels of FOUR KINGS, which was taken out by ALL OUR CHIPS, which shifted out under pressure.

Time off 3.56 PM.

RACE 2: PENGELLY TRUCK REPAIRS CLASS 1 PLATE – 1200M.

At the start HALO BOY jumped out taking CARPENTARIA onto KELABU JUTAWAN, resulting in CARPENTARIA being eased.

Near the 550m KELTIC MARK, which was hanging out, was checked when tightened for room by CAPILLARY, which rolled in after being initially crowded for room by CABIN PARTY.

Leaving the 200m PRIVATE FRISCO shifted out under pressure.

Time off 4.33 PM.

RACE 3: KEN TEMPLE BUILDING CLASS 3 H'CAP – 1000M.

At the start ESCUTCHEONS jumped in taking FOURAK LAD onto OBSTINATE.

BORN A BRONCO was slowly away.

ESCUTCHEONS were held up for clear running rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight.

SPARKLE EXPRESS was held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

Near the 250m TAABINGA LASS was steadied when disappointed for a run.

PARADISE DANCER and KIMS DREAM raced wide throughout.

A veterinary examination of BORN A BRONCO, which finished at the rear of the field failed to reveal any abnormality.

Time off 5.13 PM.

RACE 4: QRSE CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1300M.

S Richardson (RED OAKS) replaced E Dredge who was stood down on medical advice after riding in race 2.

B Dieckmann (DYNAMIC DANCING) replaced C Maund who was unable to ride at the required weight. C Maund was fined the sum of $100.

J Hoopert (MIGHTY BLAZE) replaced B Appo who was unable to ride at the required weight.

Near the 900m SHE’S ALL GOLD was crowded for room by PUBLIC EYE, which was taken in by CHARLIE CHEESE.

KID TREASURE was held up for clear running rounding the home turn.

Near the 300m SHE’S ALL GOLD was eased from the heels of the tiring CHARLIE CHEESE.

LOUGHNAN and DYNAMIC DANCING raced wide throughout.

Time off 5.50 PM.

RACE 5: CRACKER PRINT & PAPER PREMIERSHIP CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1600M.

Stewards accepted the explanation of trainer I Gleeson why the riders for TENNESSEE JOHN and CALYPSO KID were not declared by the required time.

M Price (GOTHIC STAR) replaced B Appo who was unable to ride at the required weight. B Appo was fined the sum of $100.

J Hoopert (AFTER GRAHAM) replaced E Dredge.

Trainer R King advised stewards that he was going to instruct the rider to settle BUCK’S CHARM in behind the leaders.

CALIFORNIA BELLE, ENACT and SHE’S ALL AT SEA were slowly away.

At the start UNATTAINABLE was tightened for room between INVERLEIGH LAD, which jumped out and ROAD TO HONOURS, which jumped in.

The saddle on SHE’S ALL AT SEA, which was pulling fiercely, slipped forward in the early stages giving the rider a difficult ride for the remainder of the race.

Near the 550m CALIFORNIA BELLE was steadied when crowded for room by SHE’S ALL AT SEA, which rolled in.

BUCK’S CHARM hung in throughout.

Near the 100m N Tomizawa (ROAD TO HONOURS) dropped his whip.

Time off 6.30 PM.

RACE 6: SOUTHERN CROSS BRICKLAYING MAIDEN PLATE – 1600M.

C Bumstead (ZOUGA) replaced E Dredge.

B Appo (GUY’S GIFT) replaced N Evans who was stood down on medical advice after riding at the Chinchilla meeting.

At the start DANGEROUS CENT jumped in taking GUY’S GIFT onto OH TO ZIGZAG.

RANGEVIEW LADY was slowly away.

Leaving the 550m CALYPSO KID was restrained from the heels of EASILY DONE.

DANGEROUS CENT and CALYPSO KID were held up for clear running from the 400m until approaching the 200m.

Near the 250m EASILY DONE was eased when tightened for room between TAXIS AND CIGARS, which shifted out marginally and HERDSMAN (S Richardson), which shifted in. S Richardson was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear.

A veterinary examination of OH TO ZIGZAG, which finished at the rear of the field, failed to reveal any abnormality.

Time off 7.07 PM.

RACE 7: QTIS 3-Y-O MAIDEN H'CAP – 1300M.

H Hamada (RHINESTONE LASS) replaced E Dredge.

A warning was placed on OZJURIA and TABBITA LASS, which were difficult to load.

OZJURIA and STAR COUNCIL were slowly away.

Leaving the 1000m TABBITA LASS got its head up for some distance.

Approaching the 800m WILLEDGRA got its head up whilst being eased from the heels of ORPEN ALL HOURS.

Leaving the 500m HOPESON was forced wider on the track by SECRET CACHE, which shifted out whilst hanging out. SECRET CACHE continued to hang out for the remainder of the race.

Approaching the 400m ICE CHARIOT was held up for clear running.

On the point of the home turn JUSTDANE shifted out taking RHINESTONE LASS onto ORPEN ALL HOURS.

Approaching the 50m RHINESTONE LASS (H Hamada) shifted in coming into contact with BRIDGINGTHEPLANETS. H Hamada was advised of his obligations when his mount is shifting ground.
SOPHIE’S TAN raced wide throughout.

A veterinary examination of TABBITA LASS revealed the filly, had a small amount of blood in the near nostril, cuts to the off hock from speedy cutting and most likely was feeling the effects of a recent cold.
