However inside the 50m, SEEYOU SEEYOU had laid in and mildly hampered DULBYDILLA over the concluding stages. Stewards questioned C. Eaton in relation to her riding of WITH ELEGANCE, particularly the reason for her mount shifting out near the 700m, which afforded a run to the favourite Topping to her inside. She stated that she had been advised by other riders during the night that the better going was away from rail. She stated that she had raced three-quarters to a horse off the fence leading up to the 800m but was shifted to the running rail when BINRASI was racing to her outside. She added that near the 700m WITH ELEGANCE commenced to give ground when placed under pressure and the mare rolled out further than expected, however she was not concerned as she felt the better going was off the fence. C. Eaton further stated that she was unaware what runner was racing behind her at that stage of the race. In all the circumstances stewards noted her explanation.
