Race 3: Miman Birdy: Vet Certificate and ECG

RACE 1: PRIMAC ELDERS MAIDEN PLATE – 800M

STOMPEY SEPOY shifted in at the start severely hampering both CENTESTO and DANISH MIST in onto the hindquarters of FAIRVIEW QUEEN. Both CENTESTO and DANISH MIST lost considerable ground in this incident.

Approaching the 600m, IV’S CHANCE shifted out taking both MY BLUE JAE and PRESS TO WIN wider on the track.

REBEL CAUSE hung out at the 600m losing ground, RAJAH RAUTAI, which was following was forced to check from that geldings heels.

POSH ALICE shifted out shortly after entering the straight hampering STOMPEY SEPOY.

RACE 2: LANDMARK AWB MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M

OUR REGAL GREY was slow to begin.

SANDY CREEK, which was slow to begin was tightened for room and lost ground when GREAT DROP was taken in by RIVER NOTE, which jumped awkwardly.

P Gesler the rider of RICH CHARIOT was reprimanded for allowing her mount to shift in near the 800m, taking CARLYLE in onto BIG COUNTY, which made heavy contact with the running rail, was forced to check and lose considerable ground. When handing down the findings of the inquiry stewards advised club representative, M Grew, of this incident as a section of the rail which protruded out into the line of the inside horses played a significant role in this incident and stewards requested this be rectified. Following this the rail was repaired.
RACE 3: BURRELL & CO STOCKBROKING CLASS B H'CAP – 1350M

SIROBS FANTASY was tightened for room on jumping between PETE’S REVENGE and DARBONNAIRE, which was taken in by WINOOSKI, which jumped awkwardly.

MIMAN BIRDY, which was slow to begin, also jumped very awkwardly losing ground.

MIMAN BIRDY, which was inclined to over-race during the early stages was inspected by the clubs vet and found to have a very poor recovery rate. Connections were advised that the results of an Endoscopic Examination and a vet certificate would be required prior to next start.

RACE 4: WARWICK PICNIC RACE CLUB CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1100M

Both TOWN FLIRT and SILVER CENTUZA were slow to begin.

Apprentice C Bumstead was found guilty of a charge of careless rider under AR137(a), in that approaching the 1000m, she permitted her mount KULAK shift in when not sufficiently clear of SILVER CENTUZA, which was taken in onto O’NEILL, which was forced in across the heels of GUS’S BEAUTY, losing considerable ground. Apprentice Bumsteads’ license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 meeting to commence midnight 7/4/04 and to conclude midnight 21/4/04.

Leaving the 1000m, TOWN FLIRT was forced to check and shift in making heavy contact with the running rail losing considerable ground when PRINCESS FIONA shifted in and away from
GUS’S BEAUTY, which shifted in. K Treble the rider of GUS’S BEAUTY was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

NO MAN’S LAND hung out making the home turn taking LOVE IN THE MIST wider on the track.

RACE 5: PETER STEWART FORD CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1200M

JUDICIAL REPORT reared as the start was affected losing considerable ground.

MURPHY THE SURFIE was hampered on a number of occasions when racing to the inside of MUKANIC from the 800m until leaving the 400m.



ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
