Capalaba Battlers Series – Kicks Off Wednesday October 1, 2025

Capalaba Greyhounds will host a brand-new series on Wednesday, October 1 with the launch of the BetDeluxe Battlers Series. This new concept is designed for greyhounds that have been struggling to find winning form and gives connections a chance to compete for double prizemoney in the final.

Series Details

• Event: BetDeluxe Battlers 5th Grade Heats
• Distance: 366m (Straight)

Conditions

• Order of entry is based on the longest losing sequence (most starts since last win).
• Minimum 8 starts without a win required to be eligible.
• City winners are not eligible.
• In the case of a tie for the final spot, preference will be given to the greyhound with the poorer recent form.

Key Information

• Nominations close: Monday, September 29
• Final prizemoney: $7,400.
• Future series: A Maiden/Grade 6 Battlers Series will be introduced in November.
